Well don't worry, the actual prediction from those mysterious Mayans was about the fifth age which actually ended in 1987. We are now in the time between the 5th and the 6th, the time known as 'the age of revealing'.

Although some people might be talking about a cataclysmic event it should be noted that an "Apocalypse" is simply a covering for an apocrypha. These are merely texts that have been hidden away. So the age of Apocalypse is simply the removal of a cover for some hidden knowledge. Hence the name 'Age of revealing'.

The Mayans did predict that this was the time for secrets to be revealed. With the advent of the internet information has been shared and revealed on a massive scale. Perhaps this is what they really meant, and instead of a catastrophe we will merely be shown some truth. We may conclude that earthquake survival kits are purely optional at this point.

This may not have been what the survivalists wanted to hear but rest assured there are countless lunatic politicians, rich business men and powerful individuals who would be more than happy to engineer the odd emergency situation now and again just to keep the most hardened survivalists on their toes.

On December 21, 2012 the plane of our planetary system will line up exactly with the Galactic equator. This precession cycle has taken 26,000 years to complete. Archaeologists maintain that around 26,000 years ago man started to paint cave paintings. Coincidence? Maybe.
The Winter Solstice Sun that is crossing the galactic equator is an event that takes about 36 years, from 1980 to 2016.The solstice sunrise eclipses the visual centre of the galaxy "once" every 13,000 years, approximately, and the winter solstice sunrise does so "once" every 26,000 years, but it does so on the winter solstice every year for a period of about 36 years - the time it takes to cross the galactic equator.
On the winter solstice of 2012, the noonday Sun exactly conjuncts the crossing point of the sun's ecliptic with the galactic plane, while also closely conjunction the exact the centre of the galaxy.
Also our system is entering an energetically hostile part of the galaxy. We are from another galaxy in the process of joining with the Milky Way. The Milky Way is actually not our parent galaxy. Sagittarius has had extensive interaction with the Milky Way over the past 2 billion years, both stars and star clusters now in the outer parts of the Milky Way have been 'stolen' from Sagittarius as the gravitational forces of the Milky Way nibbled away at its dwarf companion. Sagittarius has reached a critical phase in what had been a slow dance of death.

"After slow, continuous gnawing by the Milky Way, Sagittarius has been whittled down to the point that it cannot hold itself together much longer," said 2MASS Science Team member and study co-author Martin Weinberg of the University of Massachusetts. "We are seeing Sagittarius at the very end of its life as an intact system."

We are at a unique moment in the life of our galaxy. Whenever possible, astronomers appeal to the principle that we are not at a special time or place in the universe. Because over the 14 billion-year history of the Milky Way it is unlikely that we would just happen to catch a brief event like the death of Sagittarius, we infer that such events must be common in the life of big spiral galaxies like our own. The Milky Way probably dined on a number of dwarf galaxy snacks in the past.
On the other hand, astronomers have been surprised by the Earth's proximity to a portion of the Sagittarius debris.
For only a few percentage of its 240 million-year orbit around the Milky Way galaxy does our sun pass through the path of Sagittarius debris? Remarkably, stars from Sagittarius are now raining down onto our present position in the Milky Way. Stars from an alien galaxy are relatively near us.

The Science Bit

NASA says 'The next sunspot cycle in 2012 will be 30% to 50% stronger than the previous one." This would mean a burst of activity equal to the historic solar max in 1958 (when Sputnik launched and Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) were sighted three times in Mexico). This might mean that this maximum might have an effect on satellites and other technologies, abnormal meteorological patterns on the earth, shifts in the suns magnetic fields (as well as the earth's) and major flares from the sun.
Until recently, the expected cycle was predicted to be just another ordinary 11 year event, with the sun's magnetism waxing and waning as usual. However, this cycle now is behaving abnormally. Recent flares from our sun have been ten times greater than anything previously recorded and meteorological patterns are responding with serious extremes.
Generally speaking, scientifically accepted records of sunspot activity do seem to be heading for a climax in the near future.
Note: Real science is predicting the next/current sun cycle to be the worst in 50 years. The first two sunspots of 2006 are moving in reverse direction.
On July 31st, 2006 a tiny sunspot was born. It popped up from the sun's interior, floated around a bit, and vanished again in a few hours. On the sun this sort of thing happens all the time and, ordinarily, it wouldn't be worth mentioning. But this sunspot was special: It was backward.

"We've been waiting for this," says David Hathaway, a physicist at the Marshall Space Flight in Huntsville, Alabama. "A backward sunspot is a sign that the next sun's next cycle is beginning."

"Backward" means magnetically backward. Hathaway explains:
"
Sunspots are planet-sized magnets created by the sun's inner magnetic dynamo. Like all magnets in the Universe, sunspots have north (N) and south (S) magnetic poles. The sunspot of July 31st popped up at longitude 65o W, latitude 13o S. Sunspots in that area are normally oriented N-S. The newcomer, however, was S-N, opposite the norm.
This tiny spot of backwardness matters because of what it might foretell: A really big cycle.
The Sun's activity rises and falls in 11-year cycles, swinging back and forth between times of quiet and storminess. Right now the sun is quiet."

"We're near the end of the Sun's Cycle 23, which peaked way back in 2001," explains Hathaway. Cycle 24, should begin "any time now," returning the sun to a stormy state.

Satellite operators and NASA mission planners are bracing for the Sun's next cycle because it is expected to be exceptionally stormy, perhaps the stormiest in decades. Sunspots and the attendant flares will return in abundance, producing bright auroras on Earth and dangerous proton storms in space: full story.
The latitude of the backward spot is suspicious. New-cycle sunspots almost always pop up at mid-latitudes, around 30o N or 30o S. The backward sunspot popped up at 13o S. "That's strange."

Pieter Kotze at the Magnetic Observatory, Hermanus, South Africa confirms that the Earth's magnetic field is diminishing rapidly and that some scientists see this is a sign of an imminent magnetic reversal, but is he not sure himself. If the field is reversing, this will mean that wildlife such as migrating birds and salmon returning to spawning points will become lost; weather will continue to get more chaotic, with fiercer tornados and electrical storms. Sounds familiar?
Kotze went on to describe a 100,000-mile crack in the Earth's magnetic field called the South Atlantic anomaly, over the ocean between Brazil and South Africa, which is allowing the Sun's energy to enter, which has already damaged satellites. Kotze says that this will increase the likelihood of damage to power-grids during these storms. He also says that the Ozone hole over Antarctica may be connected with this penetration of proton radiation.
Some western, Chinese and Japanese scientists are claiming that sun spot activity affects the Earth's Climate far more than do greenhouse gases. Also the poles on Mars and others planets are also melting which I would guess would rule out earth made carbon emissions. You'd think so but hey you won't hear that on the mainstream corrupted news.

The Mayan Bit

As we know December 21, 11.12 GMT during the December solstice the Sun is at the exact centre of the Galaxy. This moment is the end of their calendar.
According to the Mayas the centre of the Galaxy is the cosmic womb: the place of dead, transformation, regeneration and rebirth.
This conjunction of the Winter Solstice Sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator (Equator of the Milky Way) and the Ecliptic path of the Sun is what the ancient Maya recognized as the Sacred Tree. "The eclipse is the path travelled by the sun, moon, and planets through the sky. Twelve constellations lie along the ecliptic, and the sun passes through all twelve during the course of one year. The ecliptic crosses over the Milky Way at a 60 degree angle near the constellation Sagittarius.
As such, it forms a cross with the Milky Way, and this cosmic cross was called the Sacred Tree. (The cross form was also known as the "crossroads." Amazingly, the centre of this cosmic cross that is right where the ecliptic crosses over the Milky Way is exactly where the December solstice sun will be on the 21st in A.D. 2012. It will come to resolution at exactly 11:11 am GMT. This alignment occurs only once every 25,800 years.

The Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, notably used by the Maya civilization among others of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, completes its thirteenth b'ak'tun cycle since the calendar's mythical starting point (equivalent to 3114 BC August 11 in the Gregorian calendar, according to the "GMT-correlation"
The Long Count b'ak'tun date of this starting point (13.0.0.0.0) is repeated, for the first time in a span of approximately 5,125 years.
The calendar is to be found carved on the walls of the Temple of Inscriptions in Palenque, where it functions as a base date from which other dates are computed. However, it is conjectured that this may represent in the Maya belief system a transition from the current Creation world into the next. The December solstice for 2012 also occurs on this day.

The author John Major Jenkins has also found that the Galactic Alignment is encoded in Maya myth, architecture, ceremony and even ballgames.

The Mayan calendar uses the Pleiades star cluster as a 'read-point' as the Pleiades give a predictable and stable movement. This is why there is an encoded Pleiades-zenith conjunction built into the Pyramid of Kukulcan.
And at Teotihuacan, the great Toltec metropolis where the Fifth sun was born, has been constructed according to an astronomical plan. Again an alignment with the Pleiades was responsible for building of Teotihuacan with the axis perpendicular to the famous Street of the dead pointed to the setting position of the Pleiades.

The Sacred Tree

The Sacred Tree is the crossing point of the ecliptic with the band of the Milky Way. The Sacred Tree that Pacal (greatest ruler of Palenque) ascends in death is more than just the ecliptic; it is the sacred doorway to the underworld.
We may also remember at this point that the tzolkin calendar is said to spring from the Sacred Tree. The Sacred Tree is, in fact, at the centre of the entire corpus of Mayan Creation Myths.

Also where the December solstice sun crosses the Milky Way is precisely the location of the dark-rift in the Milky Way , the 'xibalba be', the road to the underworld as the Mayans call it.

"The Milky Way is observed as a bright, wide band of stars arching through the sky. In the clear skies of ancient Mesoamerica, many dark, blotchy areas could be observed along the Milky Way's length. These are "dark cloud" formations caused by interstellar dust. The most prominent of these is called the "dark-rift" or the "Great Cleft" of the Milky Way. It looks like a dark road running along the Milky Way, and it points right at the cosmic crossing point, the centre of the Maya Sacred Tree, right where the sun will be in 2012! The Maya called this dark-rift the Black Road or the Road to the Underworld. They seem to have imagined it as a portal to another world, and the December solstice sun can enter it only in A.D. 2012.
In terms of how this feature was mythologized, it seems that when a planet, the sun, or the moon entered the dark cleft of the Milky Way in Sagittarius (which happens to be the exact centre of the Milky Way, the Galactic Equator), entrance to the underworld was possible, which could then take the seeker up to the Heart of Sky.

Archaeology

The Milky Way Galaxy is the inspiration for the symbol of Ouroboros. This myth refers to a serpent of light residing in the heavens. The Milky Way is this serpent, and viewed at galactic central point near Sagittarius, this serpent eats its own tail.
The Milky Way galaxy keeps a great time cycle that ends in catastrophic change. The sign of the SUNTELIA AION is the sun rising out of the mouth of the Ouroboros, which will occur on the solstice December 2012.
The Greeks called the End of the Age the SUNTELIA AION
Ancient historians and especially Plato referred to a cycle of catastrophe at the End of the Age.

Pole Shift

Another shift in the magnetic field of the sun, coupled with sun spots and flares larger than ever recorded to date, might have a huge impact on the magnetic equilibrium of the earth's crust. This could well be the catalyst that would "tip the balance" and send the large ice masses at the poles down (or up) to the equator again. These events usually last several days, and during that time a near alignment of the mountainous "ring of fire" might easily occur. And if it does, the results and effects may easily be predictable.
The Sun will have a magnetic polar shift again in 2012. "This always happens around the time of solar- maximum," says David Hathaway, a physicist at the Marshall Space Flight Centre. "The magnetic poles exchange places at the peak of the sunspot cycle. In fact, it's a good indication that this Maximum is really here." The Sun's magnetic poles will remain as they are now, with the north magnetic pole pointing through the Sun's southern hemisphere, until the year 2012 when they will reverse again. This transition happens, as far as we know, at the peak of every 11-year sunspot cycle -- like clockwork.
Earth's magnetic field also flips, but with less regularity. Consecutive reversals are spaced 5 thousand years to 50 million years apart. The last reversal happened 740,000 years ago. Some researchers think our planet is overdue for another one, but nobody knows exactly when the next reversal might occur. With this maximum expected to be far stronger in 2012 than since records began, perhaps the sun's pole shift will be strong enough to trigger one on Earth. Some scientists think a pole shift is a possibility. "It's a consideration," says Donald Trucotte, chairman of the department of geological sciences at Cornell University. "Pole shift is a well-established principle. It's the same concept as continental drift. Continents shift around the earth, so it's possible that poles might shift toward the equator."
The Earth's magnetic field has dropped 58% in the last 2000 years, and has increased by a staggering 6% in the last 100 years. The earth's magnetic field is dropping to reach a "zero point" after thus the polarity of Earth will reverse.
After studying mid-Atlantic ridge surveys the Geologist, Gregg Braden, says that this has occurred many times in the Earth's history. With the declining magnetic field the Schumann resonance of the ionosphere is increasing, and that it is currently resonating at between 8.6 - 9 hertz and will level out at 13 hertz in 2012. (Oddly enough the next number in the Fibonacci series). Braden also says the last polar reversal was 13,200 years ago - close to half a precession cycle.
If there is a Pole shift and the magnetic field drops to zero then such an event will cause radiation storms to hit the Earth's magnetic field, cosmic rays, strong winds, rising temperatures, earthquakes, and super-volcanoes that may be on the verge of erupting.
If there is a pole shift this will cause mass earthquakes, massive movement of ocean water causing mass flooding and enormous tidal waves, electrical storms with gale force winds, tremendous earthquakes and lava flows; even poisonous gases.
Edgar Cayce and Nostradamus among others have stated this is what will happen around the year 2012-2023.

Past Poleshifts

The Book of Revelation describes a terminal earthquake, and even Isaiah said: "The earth will reel like a drunkard and it will sway like a hut ... until it falls, never to rise again." This will be the result of the Ice moving from the poles.
Immanuel Velikovsky wrote in 'Worlds in Collision' of the possibility of previous poleshifts. Combining details in the Old Testament (the tales of the flood and the tribulations in Egypt) with recent (in the 1950's) discoveries of mass graves in Siberia of flotsam and jetsam including trees, animals all buried in one big heap. Some of the animal carcases were so fresh that Russian whale hunters used the meat of mammoths etc to feed to their dogs. Also some of the mammoths were found with fresh grass still in their mouths. Velikovsky believed this to be due to a large wave sweeping all asunder to an area (Siberia) which quickly becomes frozen (hence the carcases are preserved so well).

2) The Yellowstone super volcano.
If this caldera (super volcano) blows then we can expect a nuclear winter and 90 percent annihilation of the population in the northern hemisphere.
In his book 'An optimist investigates the end of civilisation' Lawrence Joseph talks about the possibility of the Yellowstone super-volcano erupting. Steve Sparks, a professor of geology at the University of Bristol, the huge caldera can be compared to a balloon full of gas that would explode with a pinprick. This occurs every 600,000 years, and last happened 640,000 years ago. The eruption is long overdue in fact!
When Steve monitored Yellowstone Park with seismographs and heat detectors they found a type of huge abscess which showed all the signs of being about to burst. This would Wyoming and Montana into black volcanic rubble and then poisons most of the United States and Canada with radioactive fallout! Handily the caldera sits right on top of a huge uranium deposit. In the following weeks it would bring about the failure of the Asian monsoons resulting in disease and famine. And finally it would envelop the northern hemisphere into a volcanic winter that could last for several years. 74,000 years ago the Toba caldera erupted (preceded by a period of temperature increases) and that volcanic winter went on to cause an ice age of 60,000 years!
Luckily the Bush administration has just authorised another 10,000 oil wells at the Yellowstone caldera, on top of the existing 5,600, and scientists have proposed drilling very deep holes "to test out a hypothesis that the supervolcano's hot spot is fuelled by mantle plumes". This is similar to the pricking of the gas-balloon.

Joseph goes on to say that 2005 was a key year in events as we near 2012 including a proton blast on January 20 that travelled to earth 50 times faster than normal and a flare (September 7, 2005) that was the third largest ever recorded. Following a week of massive activity from the sun, with ten X-class flares, on September 14 2005, a 37-mile crack opened in Ethiopia. Some geologists believe this to be the start of the whole African continent splitting in two. Also central Africa is the point where all hurricanes are now thought to originate, (as thunderstorms), which may also be connected to the Sun's activity.
Joseph says that some space scientists now believe that the planets have an electromagnetic and gravitational influence on the Sun, and that the Sun "wobbles and also bulges in the direction of the planetary System's centre of mass". According to Thomas Burgess, a solid-state quantum physicist from Livermore Laboratories in Berkeley California, "the next peak in the planetary tidal force will come late in 2012"

LaViolette has an impressive list of achievements. He lists 12 ground-breaking discoveries that he made, which were later vindicated by other researchers. These concern galactic core explosion cycles; Galactic super-waves of cosmic rays; cosmic ray levels fluctuation; tin isotopes; flare activityfrom the sun; geomagnetic reversals; radiocarbon date anomalies; gamma ray bursts; archaeo-astronomy ( knowledge of Galactic Centre in tribal myth).
12,700 years ago (half a precessional period), a mass extinction occurred with the start of a thousand years of high flare activity due to cosmic dust from a Galactic super-wave. He backed this up by discovering evidence indicating that the largest acidity spike in the entire Antarctic ice core record was of extraterrestrial origin, possibly produced by a major incursion of interstellar or cometary dust.

LaViolette confirms that at that time "...the intensity and declination of the earth's magnetic field underwent major variations in step with the eleven-year sunspot cycle. The amplitude of these cycles was hundreds of times larger than modern geomagnetic cycles, suggesting that the flare activity at that time was also hundreds of times more intense, approaching levels normally observed in T Tauri stars."

The nearby Pleiades constellation is associated with catastrophe, not just in Mexico, but also ancient Persia and many other cultures, LaViolette tells us.

LaViolette says that the galactic core is not a black-hole, but a super-massive energy object which explodes (or beats like a heart?) periodically.
This pulsation sends out a wave of cosmic rays which then fills the our system with interstellar gas, occluding sunlight and increasing flare activity.
LaViolette builds on recent work by Graham Hancock, Robert Bauval, John Anthony West, et al, (a technically advanced civilization on earth largely destroyed by the proposed 'superwave' catastrophe, which also brought the last ice age to an end.)
He then argues that the sphinx/pyramid complex, the zodiac and the tarot were all time capsule messages to future generations about the last time this event hit earth, with catastrophic consequences (about 12,700 yrs ago).
LaViolette has suggested that we are due for a wave of radiation from Galactic Centre, and has even connected it with the Maya 13-baktun cycle's end in 2012.
LaViolette describes these "super-waves (gamma rays) from the galactic core" which has a cyclical time-line of approximately 26,000 years. But there is also a subsidiary cycle which occurs approximately every 14,000 years, and the last one was "about 14,000 years ago". That's right; it would suggest we are due for another hit.

A recent gamma ray burst which hit January (2004) was so powerful it lit up the night sky more brilliant than the moon. He also points out that Indonesian earthquake that caused the tsunami was followed by a gamma ray burst and that the two events are almost certainly related:
"The 9.3 Richter earthquake was ten times stronger than any other earthquake during the past 25 years, and was followed just 44.6 hours later on December 27th by a very intense gamma ray burst, which was 100 fold brighter than any other in the past 25 year history of gamma ray observation. It seems difficult to pass off the temporal proximity of these two Class I events as being just a matter of coincidence. A time period of 25 years compared to a time separation of 44.6 hours amounts to a time ratio of about 5000:1. For two such unique events to have such a close time proximity is highly improbable if they are not somehow related. But, as mentioned above, gravity waves would very likely be associated with gamma ray bursts, and they would be expected to precede them."

To further the Superwave theory Lawrence Joseph also interviews several scientists. A Russian scientist named Dmitriev states that there are three important energy sources that have been overlooked by orthodox science, and these are: "(1) the dynamic, incremental conditions of the interplanetary medium, (2), energetic effects of the planetary configuration of our planetary system, and (3) impulses from the centre of the galaxy." Dmitriev explains that the sol system has collected a layer of deflected interstellar plasma in the shock wave on the edge of the heliosphere, and this has increased tenfold over the last 20 years. Joseph summarises Dmitriev's explanation that this is due to the our system entering "a rough patch, specifically, magnetized strips and striations containing hydrogen, helium, hydroxyl…and other elements, combinations and compounds: space debris, perhaps the result of an exploded star." This is a kind of "interstellar energy cloud" that has been studied by Vladimir Baranov, who specialised in the hydrodynamics of interplanetary plasma, and Dmitriev says he expects the heliosphere will be travelling through the cloud for the next 3,000 years.
Dmitriev says that this cloud is causing atmospheric and magnetic changes on all the planets in the our system, including a huge thunderstorm on Saturn in January 2006, with lightning bolts a thousand times larger than those on Earth, and "Yellowstone-like geysers have for the first time been seen erupting on Encaladus, Saturn's moon". Jupiter's magnetic field has now doubled in size, extending as far as Saturn's orbit, and has developed a second red spot, which is a huge electromagnetic storm. Dmitriev also says that the bleed-through from the shock wave is responsible for the increasing activity.

Eta Carinae and Smelyakov

In a similar vein to the Galactic Superwave, Sergey Smelyakov is a professor of mathematics at Kharkov University in the Ukraine, and his analyses of our system changes concludes that it is passing through a magnetised band of plasma.
However, the possible culprit that is causing these changes is the star Eta Carinae that shows all the signs of going "hypernova", which is hundreds of times more powerful than a supernova.
With an interest in astrology, he has found that the Golden Section or Phi (1.6180339...) governs the movements of the asteroid belt, and cycles of the sun's activity, as well as all the planetary orbits in the system, including comets. And by applying the same Phi harmonics to the 13-baktun cycle, he has found a Phi spiral that seems to spiral in on itself on December 21st 2012 - a kind of time implosion.

5) Peak oil.
Some proponents of a peak oil catastrophe place major events in 2012. Richard C. Duncan's book The Peak of World Oil Production and the Road To The Olduvai Gorge claims that the Olduvai cliff will begin and permanent blackouts will occur worldwide. Several studies predict a peak in oil production in or around 2012.

'As I said, the final cleansing of Earth began in June, 1998. In September, 1998, the five brothers, (planets), aligned themselves to usher in the cleansing energies of Earth. From that date, until the last day of the fourth world, December 22, 2012, a date taken from our star calendars, everything living, will undergo a purge. If mankind will not willingly let go of the illusion, and the lie, it will be stripped away. And, we have only begun to feel the effect, since June, 1998. The 23rd day of December, 2012, is the first day of the fifth world.'

Hopi wisdom also says that we are living in the fourth of five eras - the Fourth World, and there will be a "Great Purification" just before the start of the Fifth World. They have nine prophecies, starting with the coming of white men with guns, (which manifested in the 16th century). The eighth prophecy was the hippie era in the 1960's. The only remaining prophecy to be fulfilled is the appearance of a new star that they call Blue Star Kachina.

"When the Blue Star Kachina makes its appearance in the heavens, the Fifth World will emerge". This will be the Day of Purification, which Oh Shinnar said would be in 2012. Our planetary system shall become a binary sun system, when the Blue Star returns...during the day it will appear as a silvery light, one hundred times brighter than the Morning Star...During the evening, it will appear as a moon...the Blue Star is a companion to Sirius B...the vibrations given off by the Blue Star will enable the soul to have an easier time in communication with its host...a new light body is being created."

The 'companion to Sirius B' is also interesting as it then ties into the following…

Nibiru. The Twelfth planet

Readers of Robert Temple's The Sirius Mystery may recall that the Dogon tribe of Mali, West Africa, have known for centuries that Sirius (the Dog Star), is a binary star system, and that Sirius B is a white dwarf - facts they say were given to their ancestors by visitors from Sirius. What you may not have heard, if you haven't read the new edition, (199, is that astronomers have recently discovered Sirius C! Temple told us in 1976, in the first edition, that the Dogon knew of a third star, and that he thought it would be a red dwarf, if and when it was discovered. It was twenty years later, in 1995, when French Astronomers, Daniel Benest and J.L. Duvent announced in the Journal Astronomy and Astrophysics, their discovery of a small red dwarf star - Sirius C. This has now been confirmed, vindicating Temple's work.
The Dogon say that the "spaceship" of the visitors - the Nommo - looked "like a new star", and that they will RETURN one day, when "a certain star will reappear", and there will be a "resurrection of the Nommo". They also say that Sirius A and B "were once where the Sun now is". The star will be invisible before it "emerges", and is drawn with the rays inside the circle. It will only be "formed when the Nommo's ark descends, for it is also the resurrected Nommo's "eye" symbolically." Temple thinks this is Phoebe - Saturn's tenth moon.
Could this be the Eye of Ra? Murry Hope has said, (in Ancient Egypt: The Sirius Connection) "The Eye of Ra, which was the exclusive weapon of Sekhmet, is described as bright and burning object (a comet perhaps)...we are seeing Ra in terms of the Siriun System, and Sekhmet as his daughter..." Typhon, the father of Orthrus (Sirius) is shown in The Twelfth Planet, as a winged serpent (like Quetzalcoatl, who will return), and was "a kind of comet" which was invisible...
In Hamlet's Mill, (p.430-437), there is a collection of myths which together imply that Nibiru/Marduk (="Jupiter"= "a comet"= "the ark"), entered the Pegasus square, which is the entrance to the abyss!

In Extracts from Omega Point - Chapter 4 - The Wormhole of Daath, I have come to this conclusion for other reasons, and to cap it off, I have just come across a PHOTO apparently taken of, "an alien probe", "near the vicinity of EQ/Pegasi in the Pegasus star system" . However, even though the object is RECTANGULAR, the author says it is Nibiru. This sounds crazy, but in George Hunt Williamson's 1965 book, Other Tongues Other Flesh, he said quotes from "The Saucers Speak", that the "Intruders" - evil beings from Orion - "are coming soon to Saros (Earth) in a square star body".
To top it all off, Barbara Hand Clow says that Nibiru's 3,600-year orbit takes it near Sirius!

Please note: Talk of the blue star/sun also links in esoterically with the black sun (made famous by the Nazi's) of Occult fame. In occultism the blue sun increases the psychic abilities of the adept.
Bizarre though it may be with this talk of the 'square' nibiru, might it also be linked with Masonries 'on the square' and Mecca's black square?

The Eye in the Pyramid

Raymond Mardyk decodes the Great Seal of America, which appears on every dollar bill. The Seal shows a 13-step pyramid with the date 1776 in Roman numerals, on it. Just as the pyramid of Kukulkcan has 91 steps on each of the 4 sides, making 364 in all, plus the top level giving the number 365, the Great Seal pyramid also has an encoded calendrical meaning. Like some Maya pyramids, it has a date on it, but in the Gregorian calendar. 4 sides of 13 levels gives 52, which is the number of weeks in our year. However, 13 and 52 are also the key numbers in the Mayan calendar systems.
In the Great Cycle, there are 13 baktuns of 20 katuns each; each katun consists of 20 tuns, so there are 5200 tuns in the Great Cycle. There are also 52 haabs in a Calendar Round. Some Mayan groups named cycles after end dates rather than beginning dates. They would also have seen a series of 13 katuns as a significant cycle. 1776 was not only the year that the Declaration of Independence was signed (on the 4th of July), but was also a special year in the Mayan calendar. Just as the last katun in the Great Cycle is "katun 2012", the first katun in the cycle of 13 was "katun 1776". In fact, the katun ended 33 days before the signing. So 1776 is the bottom level of the pyramid, where the date is actually inscribed - the top of the pyramid is therefore 2012.
The top would also be 2012 if each level represented one of the 13 baktuns in the Great Cycle, with 3114 BC at the bottom. The top of the Great Seal pyramid shows an eye-in-triangle, which has been associated with Sirius, God, the pineal gland, and the Illuminati. Mardyks goes on to point out that not only was the Egyptian calendar based on the rising of Sirius, but that "the Sun is astrologically conjunct Sirius every year on July 4, for the birthday of the United States of America".

Finally LaViolette (he of the Superwave theory) has also found a 13,000 year cycle in symbology that fits the Great Seal pyramid on the dollar bill (with each level as 1,000 years and still have 2012 on the top).

Alchemy

In Hendaye in the French Pyrenees sits an unusual stone cross. Carved into the cross pertains to be knowledge of the solstice sun/galactic centre alignment of 2012.
The alchemist Fulcanelli, hinted in his 1926 book Le Mystere des Cathedrales, that the cross is encoded with a warning of "a purifying fire that will soon consume the Northern Hemisphere".

Religious/Cultural Prophecies

1) Apocalypse
Christian evangelists might be talking about the end of the world but they work for the El-ite. Please note. Apocalypse is a covering for an apocrypha. An apocrypha are texts that have been hidden away. So the age of Apocalypse is simply the removal of a cover of hidden texts. Hence the name 'Age of revealing'

2) The Bible Code
According to certain algorithms in the Bible code by Michael Drosnin, a meteor, asteroid or comet will collide with the Earth.
Please note: Hmmm this book predicted WW3 in 2006 and that didn't happen. So take the bible (or should I say babble) codes with a large shovel of salt.

3) Malachy
The Prophecy of the Popes, by Saint Malachy, named the number of popes before the destruction of the Catholic Church. The last in the list would be Peter the Roman which would bring about the destruction of the city of Rome and begin the Last Judgment. Cheerily enough our current Pope, Benedict XVI is the Penultimate pope. If Benedict (aged 80 as of 2007) dies before 2012 then this would also add credence to Malachy.
Please note: Be warned. All major religions have been created to control the populace. When Christian leaders talk about the end of the world, sure it might be the end of their world because people might break free from the shackles of religion and learn to think for themselves. Hence the age of revealing. However Malachy could have seen this age of revealing and thus seen it for what it is.

4) Nostradamus
Nostradamus speaks of a series of natural catastrophes caused by a comet that will allow the third Antichrist to disperse his troops around the globe under the guise of aid (New World order etc) in preparation for a possible nuclear war. Typically he is unspecific as to the problem being war or some other natural destruction.
Please note: Anything by Nostradamus is amazingly vague and I'm pretty sure the
El-ite uses the quatrains to further their agenda. It covers the Elite's dark machinations somewhat as they can then say that ah yes but it was predicted etc.

5) The Cherokee Sacred Calendar
Their calendar system is a hybrid between the Aztec and Mayan sacred calendars. It has a 260-day wheel, with 20 day signs, which have names similar to the Aztec. On the Mayan side they seem to be using their numerical system. Thus their history is divided into previous epochs named suns all lasting roughly 5200 years.
All previous suns have ended in cataclysm, and this one will end in a massive earthquake.

6) The Dark Cloud
Mayan elder, Don Alejandro Cirilo Pérez Oxlaj, predicts that:
"...on Dec. 20, 2012, Mother Earth will pass inside the centre of a magnetic axis and that it may be darkened with a great cloud for 60 to 70 hours and that because of environmental degradation, she may not be strong enough to survive the effects.
It will enter another age, but when it does, there will be great and serious events. Earthquakes, maremotos (tsunamis), floods, volcanic eruptions and great illness on the planet Earth. Few survivors will be left."

So is it all Doom and Gloom????
Fear not! All is not lost!

Amongst all the dire tidings there are at least some who predict changes for the better.

Change of consciousness

Knowledge of the precession of the equinoxes goes back into the mists of time, and has been encoded into mythology worldwide. Many ancient cultures also believed that there are certain times during the cycle of precession, when the earth-sun-galaxy relationship allows the influx of some kind of energy that triggers a transformational leap in mankind (the Egyptian burial of the Pharaohs was believed to be in tribute to this).
There are 2 crossing points of the Galactic meridian, (centre-line of the Milky Way), and the ecliptic (path of sun and planets across the sky), or equally, the zodiac which lies behind the ecliptic. These crossing-points were known as "Gates" by the ancients. These celestial gates were described by Macrobius as the gates of Capricorn and Cancer, and were seen as doorways through which the soul descends to be reborn on earth and ascends following physical death.
John Major Jenkins concludes that Alignment of the Solstice Sun with the Galactic meridian, (close to Galactic centre) December 21st, 2012, marks the time-window when the divine influences descend;
"Precession changes our angular orientation to the larger magnetic field of the galaxy in which we are embedded. During regularly occurring eras in the precessional cycle, as indicated by the solstice-galaxy alignments, the earth's protective magnetic shield becomes unstable and oscillates. Without a complete field reversal being required, this oscillation allows greater amounts of mutational rays to strike the surface of the earth. While this may result in mutations and a greater chance for "evolution", of greater significance is the possible transformative effect on human consciousness during alignment eras, when human beings are exposed to higher doses of high-frequency radiation."

The Mayans also believe Earth and the Sun will come into synchronization with the rest of the Universe. Our DNA will be "upgraded" (or reprogrammed) from the centre of our galaxy.
Thought forms are very important and affect our everyday life. We create our reality with thought forms. If we think negative thoughts of others this is what we attract. If we think positive thoughts we will attract positive people and events. So be aware of your thoughts and eliminate the unnecessary negative or judgemental ones. (Shades of 'The Secret' here)

Swami Sri Yukteswar's study of the Vedic Yuga system, (that may have originated as long ago as 7000 BC), and shows how that system is also flagging the galactic alignment. He concludes that there is a Galactic Chakra system, with the base chakra at Galactic Centre, and the crown chakra in the direction of the Galactic Anti-centre. Earth is at the level of the fifth (throat) chakra, evolving towards the sixth (ajna or third eye):
"The as yet unspoken message in this survey is that the galactic alignment opens a channel for the kundalini shakti to flow through the earth, cleanse (it) us, and excite it (us) into a higher level of being."

The fact that the Schumann Resonance is rising combined with recent discoveries by the Japanese scientist, Hiroshi Motoyama, that the frequency around psychics increases to a level of 17 hertz, means that these environmental factors will lead to a "switching on" of some of the massive amount of genes with officially unknown function (so-called "junk DNA"), which he calls "Species DNA", leading to mass telepathy and telekinesis.
Decades earlier, the famous occultist Alice Bailey predicted something very similar;

Drugs and 2012. Terence Mckenna and many Mayans on mushrooms and other forms of DMT drugs have predicted the same theme. DMT plus hallucinogenic beta-carbolines are chemicals that are made inside your own brain , in the pineal gland (the Third Eye of Eastern Mysticism). The pineal gland converts melatonin to make DMT, and it has been found that crop formations can induce increased levels of melatonin in people who spend time in them. All this seems to point to the possibility that the forthcoming "evolutionary quantum leap" expected at the end of the year 2012 will be caused by a mass-triggering of DMT production in humanity.

More Mayan wisdom

The religion of the Maya were not completely wiped out due to the collapse of their civilisation and then the slaughter by the Spanish in the centuries later. Many Maya continue with fragments of the old religion believing that 'jaguar-gods' from outer-space created the present race of mankind at the start of the present age in 3114 BC. Part of their belief system say that these gods will return on the completion of the thirteenth B'ak'tun cycle (the end of their age) in 2012. They also expect a major change in the world order to occur.

Evolutionary jump
As mentioned earlier archaeologists maintain that around 26,000 years ago man started to paint cave paintings. Perhaps the 2012 alignment will further man in a similar way?

Conclusion

We are part of a smaller galaxy that is about to join with the Milky Way, after some 2 billion years of circling around it (at a near right angle as part of our parent galaxy called the Sagittarius Dwarf).

This grand turning is the root cause for the discontinuation of the Mayan calendar because the 'read-point' of the Pleiades star cluster from Earth the calendar was based upon (hence the construction of the Mayan Pyramid of Kukulcan and the city of Teotihuacan) could no longer be used as we steer away from the earlier chart-ably predictable movement. The Mayans saw that earth will move into the milky way's orbit and thus it was impossible to do further calculations.

The Mayan sixth world is unknown. This means that we can carry on as we do now, giving up our freedoms for the El-ite's to protect us from manufactured threat , created wars and fear OR to see through their lies and spread your thoughts through friends and not let the Elites win.
There is also the distinct possibility that they will also use 2012 itself to further their own ends. If the 2012 Olympics and the ritualising of that are anything to go by then you have been warned.
On the physical side then the warnings seem to tell us that being in the Northern Hemisphere is not a good investment for real estate and that being up in the high mountains (above the massive tsunamis) preferably in a cave with enough food and survival gear to last you a good few months is a wise move.
On the spiritual side, not allowing the all pervasive media to prevent you from evolving and to ignore the fear that they will try to spread.

The time is to create our own futures, it is up to us.
